Artist proof prints are experimental prints made in the process of printing. Either I tested different colours, they have small inconsistencies with their edition, small smudges or creases in the paper, and sometimes I just printed them the wrong way around.

These end up having unique effects through the small accidents that happen with ink and colour, and they cannot be included into an edition where all prints abide by tough standards. All original prints are unique of course, and the artist proof is too much of a misfit.

In here, you will also find some small editions of old experimental prints of mine that never went anywhere, and were made at the beginning of my career. These don't have inconsistencies, they are just too different from my other work and evolved style. I care for my work as every print is part of a journey which leads me to the next, and I also need to clear out my drawers.

Artist proofs are marked "AP", and old editions of prints are marked "editioned print".

 

Therefore, this is a great occasion to own one of my prints at an incredibly reduced price. It's kind of like a sample sale in designer fashion.
