Community projects

The social history of printmaking is deeply intertwined with its reproductive qualities. As a medium capable of producing and disseminating images at scale, it has long been used to support political movements, preserve cultural memory and make ideas accessible to wider audiences. I have become increasingly interested in this history, and these collaborative projects are a small continuation of that tradition within my own practice.

Printmakers for Palestine Fundraiser

In 2025 I organised a fundraiser and hosted it on my website, where 40 printmakers donated original prints. £3206 was raised for Medical Aid for Palestinians. You can still see the original page (now closed), and browse through the printmakers that took part.

Putting Ourselves in The Picture

In 2019 I was Project Assistant for an exhibition at Fabrica Gallery called Putting Ourselves in The Picture. The show focused on the process of making art; the gallery became a studio, and the public was invited to make throughout.

Three artist facilitators with a strong socially engaged practice, Jo Offer, Sara Dare, and Annis Joslin held daily workshops with different groups of people with complex needs, as well as the general public.

I was responsible for engaging participating groups, building relationships with schools, care homes and community organisations. Working closely with the artists and Fabrica’s Director, I helped design the studio around participants’ needs and supported the workshops throughout the exhibition.
